Danbury Concert Chorus
Danbury Music Centre presents Messiah
Danbury Music Centre presents its annual performance of Messiah.
The Danbury Concert Chorus will perform Messiah, an oratorio by Georg Frederick Handel. Messiah is most often performed during the Christmas and Easter holidays. Well-known choruses include the Hallelujah Chorus, For unto us a Child is Born, And the Gory of the Lord,and the famous closing chorus, Worthy is the Lamb ending with the great Amen. The Danbury Concert Chorus is directed by Christine R. Howlett. Fiona smith Sutherland, organist, Maxim Vladimiroff, playing the Bettina Baruch Memorial Harpsichord, with soloists Courtney Budd, soprano; Jacquelyn Matava, mezzo-soprano; James ruff, tenor and Curtis Streetman, bass.

West Hartford Women's Chorale
West Hartford Women's Chorale Winter Concert
The West Hartford Women's Chorale will present its 2011 Winter Concert. The concert music will consist of various seasonal pieces including two variations of "Laudate Pueri Dominum", one composed by Michael Haydn and one by Felix Mendelssohn. The chorale will also perform Psalm 143, a choral piece composed by Dr. Ethan Nash, the Chorale’s Music Director. Student musicians from the West Hartford schools will also be featured.
