CONCORA, Connecticut’s premier professional choir, announces our annual Bach ClavierFest, presented by the Friends of Bach, an auxiliary committee whose mission is to enhance and support CONCORA’s ann
Keyboardists Edward Clark and Christa Rakich have devised a marvelous program of works that celebrate the keyboard instruments of the time of J.S. Bach. CONCORA's Bach ClavierFest will feature harpsichords, the lautenwerk, and the clavichord, as well as traverso flute and soprano voice.
Ed and Christa are joined this year by guest artists Stephen Gamboa-Diaz, harpsichord; Greig Shearer, traverso flute; and Jennifer Ferrand, soprano. The program includes Bach's Sonata for Flute and Keyboard (BWV 1031), the Vivaldi Concerto for Two Harpsichords (BWV 593), the 4th movement of Bach's Coffee Cantata, and Bach's Orchestral Suite # 3, arranged for multiple keyboards and flute.
