Fairfield County Chorale
Fairfield County Chorale Holiday Concert
Festive performance of Bach Magnificat, Bach Cantata 192, Mendelssohn Psalm 95 and various holiday songs
The Fairfield County Chorale will present a festive holiday concert at the Norwalk Concert Hall. The concert will feature three works filled with joy, exaltation and thanksgiving: Bach’s glorious “Magnificat,” his dance-like Cantata 192 “Nun Danket Alle Gott”, and Felix Mendelssohn’s lovely setting of Psalm 95, “Kommt, laßt uns anbeten.”
We salute the holiday season with “Behold the Star,” composed for the 1999 Lincoln Center tree-lighting by Thomas Cabiniss, followed by music you can join us in singing: the delightful Chanukah songs “I Have a Little Dreydel” and “Mi Yimalel,” a medley of familiar Christmas carols, and a peaceful “Silent Night.”
