GMChorale (Greater Middletown Chorale) invites experienced singers to audition with Artistic Director Joseph D'Eugenio during January for their next concert on May 1, 2016, to include Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms and Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass accompanied by the New Haven Symphony Orchestra. "I Can Count On U"
The Silk City Chorus, 2015 Northeastern District 5th Place Chorus Champion, returns with another exciting show taking a comical look at today's computer technology. You will never look at a computer in the same way after watching a keyboard come to life on stage! Who knew that the characters on your keyboard are real personalities not just something for your fingers!
The show also features the 2015 Barbershop Harmony Society World Champion gold medal-winning a cappella quartet - Instant Classic from Indianapolis, IN.
Also featured is GQ - a popular Sweet Adelines quartet of young women from Baltimore, MD who have only been singing together since 2011. They earned second place in the all-comers National Harmony Sweepstakes in San Francisco and were named the "Rising Stars" of Sweet Adelines International.

Silk City Chorus Guest Night is Monday, January 25, 2016
Following another memorable annual show “I Can Count On U”, The Silk City Chorus, current Connecticut Chorus Champions of the Barbershop Harmony Society, will hold an open guest night on Monday, January 25, 2016 from 7:00PM to 10:00PM. The event will take place at our rehearsal hall at the Second Congregational Church, 385 North Main St, Manchester, CT 06042. The chorus invites all men in the Central Connecticut community who LOVE TO SING to stop by. Prior musical training is not required.
Directed by Todd Lamson, the Silk City Chorus recently celebrated its 50th year of providing a cappella music in Manchester and surrounding towns. The chorus is the current Division Champion of the Barbershop Harmony Society with a membership of nearly 65 men. We are a musical organization committed to continuously improving our performances and music skills while sharing memorable and enjoyable experiences.
