Greater New Haven Community Chorus

GNHCC Open Enrollment for Spring 2018!

If you are interested in singing with the Greater New Haven Community Chorus, come try us out during Open Enrollment! Open Enrollment rehearsals for Spring 2018 are Thursdays January 11, 18, and 25, starting at 7pm. Weekly rehearsals are held at the First Presbyterian Church, 704 Whitney Avenue, New Haven, CT. However, rehearsal on January 18 (only) will be held at the Bethesda Lutheran Church, 450 Whitney Avenue, New Haven.

GNHCC is an all-volunteer, no-audition SATB chorus. All are welcome, no experience necessary, just a love of singing!

Silk City Chorus

Silk City Chorus Annual Show

"A Holiday-Ish Show..."

The renowned Silk City Barbershop Chorus of Manchester launches its 55th year with its annual show on Saturday, January 13th at the Manchester High School Auditorium. Show times are 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM. The title of this year’s show is “A Holiday-ish… Show”, a parody that surveys our favorite holidays over the year. The show will feature two world class a cappella groups: Gold Medalist quartet “Main Street” and “The Newfangled Four” 9th place finishers in 2016. Also appearing will be the East Catholic Choral Ensemble. Advance seating prices are Primary (front 4 rows): $28.00 and Secondary: $23.00; General Admission is $20.00. Connecticut Chamber Choir

40th Anniversary Season: Sacred Salzburg

Connecticut Chamber Choir opens its 40th Anniversary Season with Sacred Salzburg on Sunday, January 14th, at 4 p.m. at St. Theresa Church in Trumbull, CT.

Joining the group are soloists Beverly Blanchard, soprano, Anna Deveau-Jalbert, mezzo-soprano, Roy Mazzacane, tenor, Daniel Hague, bass, and Connecticut Chamber String Ensemble with Galen Tate, organ.

The group will perform Mozart’s stunning Coronation Mass as well as other Mozart and Johann Michael Haydn works written in service of Salzburg Cathedral and now beloved by concert audiences around the world.


In recognition of its 40th anniversary CCC will present two celebratory concerts—the second, Lux Aeterna, on Sunday, May 6—and a joyful collaboration with Greater Bridgeport Youth Orchestra, Chris Hisey, Director, on Sunday, March 4. The combined groups will premiere a newly commissioned work by area composer and jazz musician Rex Cadwallader on the theme of citizenship.

Stamford Chorale

Stamford Chorale Begins 2018 Rehearsals January 16th

Spring Concert is April 22nd

Join the Stamford Chorale at open rehearsals beginning Tuesday, Jan. 16, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on the second floor of Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd., Stamford, CT. No audition is required.
The 69-year-old community chorus will present the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart , including the Requiem, in concert on April 22. David Gomez is the director and Eric Trudel is the accompanist.

CONCORA: Connecticut Choral Artists

Wine, Jazz, & Song

A casually elegant evening of music and conviviality to support CONCORA's annual presentation of the choral music of JS Bach

CONCORA’s Friends of Bach invite you to enjoy an evening of Wine, Jazz, & Song on Saturday, January 20, 2018, from 6-9 PM, in the lovely Porter Memorial at First Church, 75 Main Street, Farmington. THE SIR WILLIAM TRIO and vocalists from CONCORA (Connecticut Choral Artists) will offer their interpretations of jazz standards, selections from the American songbook, and much more. Enjoy fine wines, plentiful, delectable hors d’oeuvre, a silent wine auction, write-your-own song dedications, and perhaps even a spin around the dance floor, all in a casually elegant atmosphere. This midwinter festivity is hosted by CONCORA’s Friends of Bach in support of CONCORA's performance of J.S. Bach's Saint Matthew Passion on March 25. 2018. GMChorale Auditions for Spring 2018

GMChorale (Greater Middletown Chorale) invites experienced singers to audition with Artistic Director Joseph D'Eugenio for their next concert on April 29, 2018.

GMChorale (Greater Middletown Chorale) invites experienced singers to audition with Artistic Director Joseph D'Eugenio for their next concert on April 29, 2018. The oratorio, “Jephte,” by Giacomo Carissimi, will be presented with other choral gems of the Renaissance and Baroque periods. Those interested in auditioning are invited to attend the first two “Jepthe” rehearsals on January 30 and February 6, and also to call or email Audition Coordinator, Margie Livengood, to indicate an interest in scheduling an audition with Director D’Eugenio. This “Open Rehearsal/Audition” format will allow interested singers to have an opportunity to experience a typical rehearsal and to meet Director D’Eugenio prior to a formal audition. GMChorale rehearses each week on Tuesday at Cromwell’s Bethany Lutheran Church, 50 Court St., just off I-91 and Rt. 9.
