Auditions for our 2018-2019 Season

CMC announces auditions for our 2018-2019 season - our 20th anniversary year!

Our annual Holiday Prelude Concert includes an impressive collection of outstanding choral music. It features "A Russian Christmas" and a diverse selection of distinctive music for Winter, Advent, Hanukkah, and Christmas - with timeless yuletide melodies, joyous carols, lullabies, big band, gospel, and more!

For our Spring concert, we will present "Requiem for Solace" by Kim Andre Arnesen. This talented young Norwegian composer has combined sacred texts and modern poetry to create an inspiring new Requiem of great beauty. It is a unique masterpiece that is destined to become a favorite for generations to come.

Also on the program are "Te Deum", "In Paradisum", and "Psalm of Asencsion" by Dan Forrest. Three glorious works from this remarkable American composer confirm his exceptional gift for lyricism, reverence, and drama.

Branford Chorale is welcoming new singers for its Winter 2018 season. No auditions required, just a love of singing! Rehearsals are held on Mondays from 7:30-9:30pm at 811 East Main Street, Branford. Registration is open on 8/20, 8/27 and 9/10 between 6:30pm to 7:30pm. The Winter concert will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018. Fall season rehearsals for "Ladies' Choice"

CALLING ALL WOMEN WHO LOVE TO SING!!
We are pleased to announce that Another Octave is open to new members. Come with your love of choral singing, and join a great group of women. Any singers who are interested in joining should attend an open rehearsal, Tuesdays 8/21-9/4.

All potential new members will be scheduled for an audition to join Another Octave. You must be able to sing in key. No music reading ability is necessary.

Directed by Melinda Walwer and assisted by Kris Montgomery, our 60-voice chorus regularly performs all over the state and has traveled nationally. We are members of GALA Choruses and Sister Singers.

Ridgefield Chorale

Ridgefield Chorale Rehearsal

First rehearsal of the fall season.

If you love to sing, now is the time to join The Ridgefield Chorale. No auditions are required to join, although the Artistic Director will hear you sing for correct placement in a section.

The Chorale is a mixed choir of 70 voices, performing a range of repertoire, from the contemporary classical repertoire (Eric Whitaker, Ola Gjielo, Dan Forrest, John Rutter) to pops, standards and Broadway. The ensemble is led by Artistic Director, Daniela Sikora.

Rehearsals are weekly on Tuesday nights in Ridgefield, CT with a few rehearsals on Thursday nights, starting late August.

Please email info@ridgefieldchorale.org or call 1-877-815-5635 if you are interested in attending rehearsals on Tuesdays, 7:30 – 9:30 pm. Rehearsals for the fall season begin on Tuesday August 21st. Please let us know if you will join us.
