Middlesex Hospital Vocal Chords Looking for Singers
Like to sing but can't read music? No problem! The Middlesex Hospital Vocal Chords has many members just like you who love to sing. No auditions necessary! Just a love of music, singing and a commitment to rehearse every Tuesday night. New members in all voice parts are welcome. We provide a supportive environment in which to explore your voice and love of singing. Make new friends and lift your spirits. It is a proven fact that singing with a group is a natural anti-depressant, it lowers stress levels and anxiety, improves mental alertness and increases social fulfillment. Don't miss out on a truly life changing experience!
This year the Vocal Chords will be celebrating 30 years of relieving stress, lifting spirits and healing souls with music. We will be performing a variety of our favorite musical selections from the past 30 years. Rehearsals start on January 14th at 6:45 pm at St. Francis Church, Msgr. Fox Parish Hall, 10 Elm St. in Middletown. New members will be accepted until February 4th. Our spring concert will take place on May 9th at Portland High School.

The Greater New Haven Community Chorus invites all singers to come to open rehearsals and to join the chorus for the spring 2020 semester. The chorus is accepting all voice parts, but currently has a special need for tenors and basses.
Prospective members are invited to attend three rehearsals as guests before committing to join the chorus. The three rehearsals provide an opportunity to meet the chorus and Artistic Director, Noah Blocker-Glynn, and to hear and sing the music we will be singing this semester. Night Of The Singing Dead--The chorus will tranform themselves into singing zombies. FUN!
Zombies Can't Talk, But They Can Sing!
The Silk City Chorus returns to the stage on January 18, 2020 with another original show titled Night Of The Singing Dead. In this year's show, Silk City's “un-dead” singers will lift your spirits with their other-wordly harmonies.
The program will also feature the 2019 world champion gold medal-winning a cappella quartet SIGNATURE. The chorus will continue its tradition of hosting exciting young performers. Our second guest quartet is MIDTOWN, four Barbershop newcomers who placed 5th in the 2019 World Championship just months after their formation. The show will also feature the Chamber Choir from Tolland High School.
There will be two performances on January 18, 2019 at 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM at Manchester High School, 134 Middle Turnpike East, Manchester, CT 06040.

GMChorale Open Rehearsal and Audition
The GMChorale invites interested singers in all voice parts to participate in an open audition prior to an audition to join the ensemble.
The GMChorale invites interested singers in all voice parts to participate in open rehearsals in January and to consider auditioning to join the 80-voice ensemble. Singers interested in joining the Chorale for its next concert on April 26 and for next season may participate in open rehearsals on Tuesday, January 21, and Tuesday, January 28 before scheduling a private “singer-friendly” audition with Maestro D’Eugenio. The GMChorale rehearses in Cromwell on Tuesday evenings. Members pay annual tuition, purchase their own music, and provide their own concert attire. High school and college students are particularly encouraged to sing with the GMChorale. Scholarships are available to cover tuition; scholars pay only for their music and concert attire. Prospective adult singers may also express an interest in singing with Alchemy, the vocal chamber ensemble of the GMChorale.
