Bristol Choral SocietyKen Ferris, Director The Bristol Choral Society was established in 1975. The Society is a 135-140 ensemble of talented community individuals who share their love of music in various community venues and as performing arts ambassadors in other countries. An important goal of the Bristol Choral Society is to present excellent performances of significant works and to enrich the social and cultural lives of its members and community. Uniquely, our programs are varied and all include classical and contemporary pieces. These balanced programs also include Broadway pieces, spirituals and folk pieces. All works are performed with original orchestrations, language and intent. Community performances are accompanied either by professional orchestra, chamber orchestra, Wind ensemble or the Bristol Reunion Jazz Band. We provide opportunities for youth to further their experience in music either through performance or financial scholarships. Because our concerts are always a sell-out, we share our joy of music by presenting all our concerts on Nutmeg TV for the communities surrounding Bristol. Additional information about our organization can be found on our website. [Top] |
