GMChorale
Join GMChorale in January 2023
GMChorale invites singers of all voice types to relive the magic or experience it for the first time by joining GMChorale in singing Brahms' Requiem.
On Sunday April 30, 2022, GMChorale will sing Johannes Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem (A German Requiem) in Middletown, CT. This sublime work, beloved in the choral community, is a non-liturgical requiem that focuses on comforting the living through scripture and the Psalms. GMChorale invites singers of all voice types to relive the magic or experience it for the first time by joining GMChorale in singing Brahms' Requiem. The work will be performed by GMChorale in conjunction with a full symphony orchestra: Orchestra New England, Elm City Girls’ Choir, and soloists Sherezade Panthaki and Mark Womack. Middlesex Hospital Vocal Chords looking to expand tenor and bass sections.
CALLING ALL TENORS AND BASSES!
The Middlesex Hospital Vocal Chords, under the direction of Samuel Tucker and accompanied by an orchestra, is looking to expand their tenor and bass sections. No auditions necessary just a love of singing and a willingness to make a commitment to the Vocal Chord family. Rehearsals begin January 17th, 6:45, Msgr. Fox Parish Hall, St. Francis Church, 10 Elm St., Middletown,CT for our upcoming concert on Saturday, April 29, 7:00 at Portland High School. New members will be accepted through January 31st.
This community- oriented group has been entertaining audiences for 32 years with lively concerts showcasing a variety of musical interests. Currently, our 85 members hail from all parts of Connecticut and all different walks of life. It’s the love of singing that brings us all together. You do not need to be affiliated with Middlesex Health in order to join.
